What is the best way to communicate with Haunted Montreal?

For the fastest response, the best way to communicate is by sending an email to info@hauntedmontreal.com. Please do not phone any of the venues where the tours start because their staff members are not connected to Haunted Montreal in any way.

How do I buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased on our Facebook page, on the Haunted Montreal website or directly on Eventbrite.

Are tours cancelled when it is raining?

No, ghost tours operate in all weather conditions. We advise clients to dress appropriately and bring an umbrella.

Do I need to print my ticket?

No. Your name will be automatically added to the system.

If I can’t pay online can I buy tickets in another way?

Yes, you can also reserve tickets and pay in cash at the start of the tour. This option is only available if you are 100% certain you will attend, even if it is raining. To reserve a maximum of 4 tickets, please email info@hauntedmontreal.com with the requested tour, date, time, language and number of tickets.

Is there a waiting list if the ghost tour is sold out?

Yes, in the event that a tour is sold out you can ask to be put on a waiting list. If there are any cancellations we will contact you at least 48 hours before the tour starts to offer you the tickets.

When should I arrive at the venue?

We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes early to sign in. The box office opens 30 minutes before the tour starts. If you want to have a drink or something to eat before a tour, we recommend arriving even earlier depending on how long you wish to stay.

Is there any parking at the venues?

The venues do not have parking lots, but there is on-street parking in Montreal. Pay close attention because many of the spots are metered and you have to pay to use them at certain times to park there. Sometimes large events such as hockey games can cause parking shortages, in which case Haunted Montreal strongly recommends using public transportation.

What should I do if I am late?

Ghost tours start on time so we advise clients to take precautions to ensure they are not late.

How long are the ghost tours?

All ghost tours last approximately 90 minutes.

Do the ghost tours end at the same location where they start?

No. Haunted Mountain ends at the corner of Peel and Pine Avenue. Haunted Griffintown ends at the corner of William and Murray Street. Haunted Downtown ends at the Place du Canada.

How much distance is covered on each tour?

Ghost tours typically cover 1.5 – 2 kilometers.

Are ghost tours appropriate for children and is there an age limit?

While there is no official age limit, parents should consult children to make sure they are comfortable with ghost stories and creepy locations before purchasing tickets.

How scary are the ghost tours and does anyone jump out at you?

Ghost tours are led by professional actors and storytellers who tell ghost stories to clients in dark and creepy locations. The stories themselves can be frightening but nobody will ever jump out like in a haunted house at an amusement park.

Should I bring a flashlight or anything else?

Yes, we recommend a flashlight and sturdy walking shoes, especially for the Haunted Mountain tour on Mount Royal. We also recommend a camera to take pictures and insect repellant, especially on Mount Royal in the spring and summer months.

Is there access to a bathroom during ghost tours?

All of our tours start at a location where clients have access to a bathroom.

Are the tours accessible for people with mobility issues?

Haunted Griffintown, Haunted Downtown, Haunted Old Montreal, and the Paranormal Investigation are accessible for people with mobility issues (e.g. a wheelchair) but Haunted Mountain and the Haunted Pub Crawl are not due to several sets of stairs that are necessary to reach the haunted locations on Mount Royal, and the stairs to enter and leave the three bars, and our locations in them.

Are ticket refundable?

Tickets are refundable up to 7 days before the tour date.

Should I give a tip to the guide at the end of the tour?

This is entirely at your discretion. If you enjoyed the performance and wish to leave a tip, it will be graciously accepted.
